This choppy animation problem has been keeping bothering me since I upgraded from Lion several months ago. However, I don’t want to apply the classic Windows remedy, i.e. to reinstall everything from scratch, as I love my 4 years old Mac OS X very much.
I did some research in Google and found the following weird solution:
- Repair disk permission using Disk Utility
- Restart Mac OS X
- Launch AutoCAD 2013 (you can get a trial version from here)
- Close AutoCAD 2013
- Fixed
Hope these steps can help with your headache too. After I had fixed it, I also used the following commands to speed up the Mission Control animation:
defaults write com.apple.dock expose-animation-duration -float 0.15 defaults write com.apple.dock workspaces-edge-delay -float 0.15 killall Dock
that weird solution works for me, thanks dude..
works for me too, thank you:)
You are a genius. Its a weird solution, but it works perfectly.
I think AutoCad maybe changes some system variables when it closes.
Because I remember forcing close Autocad and the problem started.
Thanks a lot
Amazing!
I was afraid of using autocad in my iMac.
Every time that i closed it, these choppy animations would begin, and the only “solution” for this was to format my HD.
Thanks to you, I won’t be formatting it this time!
Thank you very much!!
